Lazy Stitch Bead Class

Lane Stitch or also known as Lazy stitch is a Native American Bead technique used on many beaded clothing items to dance items. This comes from the northern plains’ tribes such as the Lakota.

This class will teach how to design and bead using the Lane Stitch style. The student will be given material to use as practice and to create a small piece and have the skill to design their own items later. They will also learn about geometric designs seen from varying tribes and what they may mean to those tribes. Encouraging the student to use geometric designs from their own tribal origins.

Materials to use for class will be provided.
